“Secret Journey”
This is my Enamel challenge. Secret Journey. I used mason stains, a new technique for me. The title, Secret Journey, I received just before I spent 14 days in the hospital with a still unknown illness. While in the hospital I saw my journey to health, the red circle being the wellness. I saw it in a vision. I am a cloisonné Enamelist, but after taking an online class with Martha Banyas I decided to use Mason stains to represent my journey. I will continue to use this technique, but still prefer cloisonné. The helicopter on top represents my air lift to the hospital in Seattle. I had recently returned from Egypt, thus the mummy under the helicopter. I actually took a plane, but my granddaughter thought it was a helicopter with me hanging below!! All the issues (heart, lungs, liver) are fixed now, except the hip, that is getting replaced soon.
