“Celestial Garden”

My theme was "Celestial Garden" which evoked many planetary thoughts that I was quite sure were above my skill level!

I ended up with a piece that is a little open to interpretation... a sun (flower?) Star (flowers?)...and a very definite crescent moon! Challenges were the bending of the star wires, not getting the black background where I didn't want it to be, and the opalescence of the moon. The back is imprinted with a texture plate from Oregon Trail Silver.

From making this piece... I think I've learned that sometimes less is more. I've also learned that what looks easy on paper in a large scale is difficult to translate into wires on a small scale!
It's been a blast!
