"My goals:

1. Making a setting that was a parts of the design. The print in the silver (under the enamel) is a piece of a mandala and is continued in the silver setting.

2. Soldering 'filigrain' wires in the setting, and setting small stones in the middle.

3. Combining leaded and unleaded enamel in one piece.

I started with a round testpiece to test the enamel-combination. After that I made an etch to make a texture plate. I rolled the silver in the rolling mill and formed it on the hydraulic press.

Then I made the cloisonne. For the backplate I used Argentium silver. I sawed out the backplate and fused the bezel. Then I formed the wires (pettals) and made then fit so tight that I could flip over the piece to solder them. The last step was to set the cloisonne and the stones.

I really enjoyed the challange and can't wait to see the results of everyone!
