“ Welcome Tidings”
I was excited to learn that "tidings" was an archaic word for a group of magpies! It fascinated me that magpies could be signs of misfortune or good luck in many mythologies. I enjoyed creating contrasts with the vibrant colors and I also experimented with adding a silver granule on the last firing.
