“Hesitant Equilibrium”

Puro Chile Brooch inspired by the idea of Chile as a fundamental unit, regardless of the diversity of its people. A hesitant equilibrium of people that somehow works and keeps the country as one. The Copihue is a meeting point that reminds us of our similarities through the beauty of our national flower. Is a resilient bush which manages to survive in the cities or in the middle of the mountain range despite the weather.

For me the challenge in this project was to enamel three-dimensional pieces, I had never done it before and I must say that this type of enamel has a certain charm. For the branches and base of the brooch I used 950 silver, for the leaves 999 silver and copper for the Copihue flower. I learned some interesting things during the process, like that you can solder flashed silver without losing its shine, but the main thing is that you should let your imagination run wild and dare to experiment new things.
