“Courageous Luminosity”

"My theme was courageous luminosity.

It wasn’t an easy theme for me, the first big challenge was to find out what does it mean for me. At first, I wanted to make a picture from one of my favourite tale, “The princess and the goblin”, but when I finished my scratch, I realized, that is not enough good for it. Unfortunatelly, I have no kiln or yard ,where I could do my project, so I was participating in an enamel camp, where I could make my pieces. But it was only a few days, so the time was my enemy. So I quickly over designed it.

My second idea was a hunting cat. The mouse who is staying at the luminous foreground is a courageous one. So the idea has borned.

I tried to make the background dark and unsettled (to hide the hunter) and luminous and clear the foreground (to be in evidence the mouse well).

I did my enamel experiment with 2 different methods:

Cloisonne enamel (copper plate cca.3,9 *5,9 inch/ 15*10cm with copper wire and transparent enamels) and

“Sgraffito” technique, which is a scratch out. The illustration is the same, but the pictures became different. I love both of them, but which is your favourite?"
