“Strange Celebration”

Strange celebration reminds me of a group of women dancing in the dark night lights, celebrating the full moon.

I imagine the silhouettes of these women (witches or fairies) like shadows of the night.

I made a piece of enamel using a specific french technique from Limoges that is called “grisaille" with "blanc de Limoges". The enamel is applied on a copper sheet. I only use white enamel on a black dark opaque enamel. My very fine tools are a quill and a needle.

My challenge was to realize my first piece using grisaille. It took a long time to make it. This piece required around 7 or 8 firing under 800°C. At the last firing, I add some gold points.
