“Veiled Secrets”

The theme for this piece is "Veiled Secrets". The Tuscan landscape holds many hidden delights that include small medieval villages, beautiful rolling hills blanketed with rows of olive trees and grape vines, delicious food in family run restaurants and golden treasures in the many museums. What can be seen of private gardens can is often viewed through iron gates.

Designing and creating this piece came easily as the theme is perfectly related to an ongoing series that focuses on the Italian gates and what is viewed through them.

Materials include painting enamel on formed copper for the landscape, pierced and enameled steel for the fence, fabricated sterling silver setting, dusty purple vintage glass, 24kt gold wire and 24kt gold leaf. The size is 3.5" diameter x .33" deep.
